Guiness Beer? How much is a case of Guiness beer?

lyle s replied: "to much!! get miller lite..its on sale"

lilredhead replied: "I got a 24 case , for 18 bucks , dont know if thats normal or if I got it on sale !"

What can I replace Guiness Beer for in a Beef Brisket Recipie? I am using a recipie that calls for 40 ounces of Guiness Beer and I want to replace it with something else. I can't figure out what. Any suggestions?

silly_me replied: "Almost anything wine juice- apple, pineapple, a different brand of beer beef broth I wouldn't reccomend water though unless that is the absolute only liquid you have."

MYRA C replied: "If you can't get Guiness use any stout. If you can't get stout use any dark beer."

ann replied: "I think beef broth would be good"

lucky star replied: "3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce 1 cup strong black coffee 1 (12 fluid ounce) can cola carbonated beverage"

What is a Guiness beer spoon used for, and why is it bent like it is? I enjoy most beers, but don't see a need for a spoon... I also have to disagree with the new "man law" of no fruit in the beer. The exceptinon should be Lime is ok in Mexican beer. The new man law that I reference is with the NFL's Men of the Square Table.

IceMan replied: "It is used for layering the beer - like in a black and tan to separate the two beers and the spoon is bent so it sits on the glass."

inthekitchen replied: "the spoon is for making black and tan and other bevvies like snakebite or a crown float where you use the spoon to make layers. it's bent like that so that the notch made by the bend can hook onto the lip of the pint glass.as for fruit in beer.....unless it's like hoegarrden or beluve and it's supposed to taste fruity....not so much"

Kevin W replied: "A Guinness spoon is used for making a black and tan. The spoon is bent like it is to "float" the Guinness on top of the lighter beer in the glass. To me, there is no better black and tan than Guinness and Harp!"

Jeremy D replied: "for layering"

Sundar replied: "glad to hear that you do not agree with the new man law... so stupid by the way...... i think you should drink what ever the heck you want fruit or no. sounds like the man law is made by insecure men, or by men who are worried that they are not manly enough..... sheesh such ridiculous rules society places on genders. I know my answer is not really about guiness but i did notice that others have answered already and not much i can add to it excep tthat..... guiness rulessss....lollll. so does corona with a twist of lime haha. have fun and enjoy your beers....."

William T replied: "It's used to sppon off foam from the top of the beer."

jfm_max replied: "i use mine to smack idiots on the forehead, when they ask stupid questions."

stinky replied: "As stated above, the Guinness spoon is for layering the beer for beer mixes. It is bent so it can sit on the lip of the glass. As for your passion for limes, the only reason they started pairing limes with Mexican beers is to keep the flies away. I think that if a beer needs fruit to make it taste better, it isn't a good enough beer in the first place."

Is GUINESS Book Of World Records and GUINESS Beer Owned By The Same People? Just wanted to know if they are the same company.

purplepassion replied: "Very good question =) I actually didn't know the answer, so I had to do a little research =) The Guinness company also produced the Guinness Book of Records, which originated in 1955 when a debate in a pub after a hunt could not be settled with existing reference books. After merger with the firms of Arthur Bell and United Distillers, the firm became Guinness PLC, and was no longer headed by a family member. It combined with Grand Metropolitan to form Diageo PLC in 1997, at which point the Book of Records was sold to Gullane Entertainment, which in turn was purchased in 2002 by the book's current publishers, HIT Entertainment."

Is Guiness Beer made with meat? I saw something on TV and my brother said the same thing (he was at the Guiness Factory in Ireland) that they brew meat in with the beer to give it a distinct flavor. Anyone else heard this?

bbyhtguy replied: "No way, your brother was drinking to many samples."

Steve R replied: "There are four things in Guiness. Water, Hops, Yeast and Malt"

wahootexan replied: "You know, I have some Ocean Front Property in Arizona you might be interested in, email me."

Ich replied: "no...this is not true."

raiderking69 replied: "--It is against the law to add meat to beers and ales in Ireland. They maybe brewing meat in the barrels to derive a taste for the storage phase, but it is not in Guiness beer. However in China there is a beer that is made with chicken. I tried it and it is absolutely disgusting."

crjensen77 replied: "In the reading that I have done (by people who are trying to copy Guinness), it seems that the distinctive flavor comes from slightly soured (not spoiled) beer that they create from the previous batch. Putting meat into beer would be counterproductive, since the additional protein would just make it cloudy, and then they would have to filter it to get the protein out. Kind of a waste of time, don't you think?"

Matt S replied: "No, there is no meat in Guinness. It is a myth."

Jason G replied: "Guinness is not made with meat, however, one bottle of guiness can be so heavy, it might as well be a meal. It has tons of calories right? I remember one time I got off work late, and i went straight to the bar to meet my friends. I was excited to go out, but 1 problem: I was starving. I could postponed the night even further, and gotten some food...but it hit me...1 guiness before everything else, and i'll be fine."

What does Guiness beer taste like? I never really liked the taste of beer would I like it?

momzer23 replied: "A mix between coffee and almost a chocolate flavor. Bitter and full. Very good. Its quite a different taste than normal beer."

Betty replied: "If you don't like beer, then you probably would not like it. The taste is actually pretty light and not too bitter considering it's dark color. But it definitely tastes like beer!"

leahg4147 replied: "Just try it, I think it is delicious. It isn't like a Bud by any means...never limit yourself from new experiences."

Beth replied: "That depends on how you define "beer". It's a lot darker and more flavorful (a lot hoppier) than a lot of the other beers on the market, especially in the US. I'd say, try it, that's the only way you'll know if you like it or not. It's definately not your typical beer. But, it's also not the darkest or hoppiest out there, so chances are you'll dig it."

shadowsthathunt replied: "I dont like beer, but if you drop a shot of yingling in it and call it an irish car bomb ill drink it."

Erica in the Show Me State replied: "Probably not. It's very strong and bitter. I don't care for beer either, but I've tasted different kinds. This was by far the most unpleasant."

_+MINT+_ replied: "beer."

handittowillis21 replied: "very good not like other beers in the united states at all"

GISGuy replied: "I'm not sure what you like in a beer, but to me Guiness is a great beer. It doesn't have an extremely bitter taste but more of a roasted barley/malty flavor. Its mouthfeel is slightly heavy, but creamy and smooth. I find it to be a very easy dark beer to drink, but it does get filling after a few. Hope this helps"

MikeyG replied: "It really depends on what type of beer you like. If you are a Budweiser or Miller Lite type of drinker, this will be a vastly different experience for you. Guinness is like nothing else. I personally love it, it has a dark, rich flavor and it will fill you up. If ou want to try it for the first time, I recommend going to an Irish pub and drinking a pint pored from the tap; do not go buy bottles or cans from the store; for your first time you definitely want to drink one the "right" way, that way you will know for sure whether or not you like it."

special_edd_yay replied: "Armpit juice, go for a real dark beer with shinerboch!"

cr@c@l@c@j@clynn replied: "If you like soy sauce you would like it! It's a very heavy beer. It took me a few times to like it. Now that I am older I hate it."

Kari R replied: "Like heaven =)"

marina replied: "Its creamy and bitter and rich, and I agree with the first poster about it tasting like coffee. I love it, but I love beer. If you have never really liked the taste of beer, you most likely wouldn't like Guinness."

What is the best food/alcohol pairing? I think it's a Curry dinner with Guiness beer.? Either that or bbq crabs with beer, or steak with merlot, or maybe fajitas with a margarita.....I can't decide.

Willy replied: "Stolichnaya Vodka & bubble gum! "

silverngold_lovers replied: "Chips, Salsa & Corona"

Paul L replied: "Have you tried Hamms with bacon? Sure it doesn't sound that great, but...well...at least you are only out 25 cents if it is bad."

ldylopes replied: "My husband says without a doubt...........pizza and beer. I say a righteous dish of spaghetti, some garlic bread, salad and a great glass of wine. Or wedding cake and champagne. :-)"

L. W replied: "fajitas with a margarita (or corona) sounds divine! ;-)"

lulu85 replied: "i think a nice stake dinner, with a couple of glasses red wine"

worldstiti replied: "love caviar and vodka"

SexyTrojan replied: "Wild salmon, orzo (cooked in chicken broth) and chardonnay Rib eye steak, spelt and black beans, and merlot"

Lanani replied: "Baked manicotti and chianti. Or homemade lasagna... mmm..."
